What's New?

March 2010

  • The new patient holding, pre-Cath screening and post-Cath monitoring area in Beth Israel’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab opened last week at a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by administrators, cardiologists and nurses. This expansion nearly doubles the size of the prep/recovery area--providing the capability to prepare multiple patients at any given time and increase workflow efficiency. The area features seven additional beds and state-of-the-art technology, including touch-screen cardiac monitors and EKG improvements, all designed to improve care delivery. In addition, there are finished locker rooms and bedside televisions to enhance patient privacy and comfort.
